The parkrun torch is a collaboration of top quality local talent.  The flame was sculpted by community stalwart, Noel Morgan of Longfield Stone who then arranged for the flame to be painted by Gonk from Phoenix Tattoo Studio in Roundstone Street, Trowbridge.  The torch itself was crafted by father and son metalwork artists Aubrey and Jason Gumm of Metal Products, Paxcroft Farm.  Noel, Jason and Aubrey are the creators of Forrest, the spirit of the parkrunner, statue which stands proudly at the entrance to Southwick Country park to celebrate the inaugural parkrun.  In August after the Olympics closing ceremony the Torch will be permanently fixed to the statue.

From this Sunday until the end of the Olympics the parkrun torch is on tour at the following Stampede Sports events:

• Thursday 28^th June The Great Chalfield 10K
