Over one hundred and sixty runners lined up on the Common in Broughton Gifford for the eighth running of the Foxtrot 5 road race. Simon Nott of Calne Running Club and Michael Towler of Avon Valley Runners broke away from the rest of the field at a very early stage with Simon Nott taking victory in a personal best time of 26:22, twelve seconds ahead of the Avon Valley Runner who led his club mates to the team prize and also to maximum points in the Wiltshire Race League. 

Phil Westlake of Bitton Road Runners claimed 3rd place overall with club mate Peter Clark claiming the 1st MV40 prize. David Vaudin of Team Bath finished as the 1st MV50 and David Rose the 1st MV60.

For the Ladies, Michelle Maxwell took another victory in the Wiltshire Race League recording 32:31 ahead of Denise Gretch of Calne SMaRTT and Leanne Tiley of Avon Valley Runners. However it was Bitton Road Runners who claimed the ladies team prize with Helen Hinsley and Jo Webb also claiming the prizes for 1st FV40 & 1st FV50 respectively. Brenda Avery of Chepstow Harriers was the 1st FV60.
