The Wiltshire 10
The Wiltshire 10 is a road race, starting from the King George V Playing Fields in Melksham over a certified Ten Mile course. The route follows a gently undulating course through rural Wiltshire and loops around the historic village of Lacock before following the River Avon back to the finish in Melksham. The course is capable of producing fast times with the current course records being 52:14 (Simon Plummer of City of Salisbury A&RC in 2013) and 60:42 (Holly Rush of Team Bath AC in 2011). The Wiltshire 10 was last run on Sunday 10th February 2013.
Stampede Sports will offer a £100 cash prize to the winning Man/Lady setting a new course record time.
Prizes in The Wiltshire 10 were awarded to the following:
- 1st, 2nd and 3rd Man
- 1st, 2nd and 3rd Women
- 1st MV40 & 1st FV40
- 1st MV50 & 1st FV50
- 1st MV60 & 1st FV60
- 1st Men's team of 4 runners
- 1st Ladies team of 4 runners
All finishers will receive a commemorative mug.
